PUPPY TRAINING COURSES

Puppy Training is designed to give you and your pup the best start & the building blocks to a long and happy relationship.. The courses cover all the basic obedience commands; sit, down, stay, stand... plus heelwork/loose lead walking, recall, & manners. I also cover problem issues such as toilet training, puppy mouthing/biting, jumping up, chewing, diet etc. in the form of Q&A during lessons.
I only ever use positive reward based training techniques & keep puppy training separate from training sessions for older dogs - I certainly do not use any form of punishment - choke/check chains are NOT to be used when attending classes.
The course is 5 weeks duration (every Saturday at 11.00am)
class sizes are kept small & this is strictly limited to ensure each pup gets optimal attention so pre-booking is required (maximum of 8).
Course fee £70 - £20 deposit secures place with balance payable at first lesson, vaccination certificates to be brought to first lesson.
Lesson schedules:
Introduction
Introduction to understanding dog behaviour and training, this will provide you with essential information & tips on training and an insight on how your dog actually thinks & how you can use this to build a great lifelong relationship with your dog.
Sit / Down / Stay / Stand
Beginning the basic building blocks of dog obedience
Heel work / Loose Lead Walking
Dealing with the very common problem of dogs pulling on the lead...
Recall
Probably the most important lesson of all...
please do not be tempted to let your dog off lead in public before you have taught recall...
Manners
Teach your pup to be polite around other dogs and people.
Puppy training should be started as early as possible so my
courses welcome all pups from completion of vaccinations up
to the age of around 6 months*
Please bear in mind before reserving a place that, to get the most out of the course for your pup,
attendance to all 5 sessions is essential. Deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable.
Places on the course are strictly limited
Please contact me for further details, availability or to book your place..
*age allowances will be made in certain circumstances, ie rescue dogs under 12 months that have not had any previous training, an assessment will be required beforehand to judge the suitability of the course to an older dog.
